Our annual sunset lighthouse cruises are among our most popular events. They usually sell out, so don’t wait to reserve your space on board!

The cruises on June 15 and 22 will start at 7:00 p.m. and will return about 9:30 p.m. They will be aboard the M/V Granite State, departing from Rye Harbor on Route 1A in Rye, NH. The trips include expert narration and lots of raffle prizes. (Raffle tickets are sold for $1 each, 6 for $5.)

The cruises will pass close to Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, Whaleback Lighthouse, and White Island Lighthouse in the Isles of Shoals.

The boat has a galley serving hot dogs, soft pretzels, candy, chips, soda, water, wine, and beer. You can bring food on board, but you cannot bring any alcoholic beverages on board.

Rye Harbor State Marina is on Route 1A in Rye, New Hampshire. Click here for directions.

There is a large parking lot, and a $5 fee is charged by the State of NH at the marina.

Tickets: $25.00 each

New!! This year we are adding two additional Saturday evening sunset cruises aboard Granite State Whale Watch’s new smaller boat, the Uncle Oscar, which holds 49 people. Our July 7 cruise will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the September 1 cruise will begin at 5:30 p.m. They will last about 2.5 hours.

Everything else is the same as the description above, except the galley on the Uncle Oscar has no hot food, but does have snacks, coffee, soda, water, beer, and wine. You can bring food on board, but you cannot bring any alcoholic beverages on board.

Tickets: $25.00 each

If you pay for space(s) on the cruise, please note that there are no physical tickets. We will email you a confirmation after we receive payment. We ask that you plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the cruise. There is a large parking lot at the Rye Harbor State Marina, and the State of NH charges a $5 parking fee. Once you park, go to the Granite State Whale Watch ticket office, one of the small buildings along the side of the parking lot. Your name will be on a list and they will give you boarding passes.

In the event that the cruise has to be canceled due to the weather, we will make every effort to notify everyone as early as possible by email. A cancellation notice will also be posted on this page and on our Facebook page.
