For well over a decade, Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouses has worked with Granite State Whale Watch of Rye, NH, to offer the best lighthouse cruises in the New Hampshire Seacoast region. This year is no different, and we have two exciting cruises planned for you.

Portsmouth Harbor Light

First, on June 17 at 7 p.m., we’ll board the M/V Granite State for our annual Sunset Lighthouse Cruise. This event is always close to the summer solstice. We’ll head out to the Isles of Shoals for a close view of White Island Light. After spending some more time among the fascinating Isles of Shoals, we’ll head into the Piscataqua River for sunset views of Whaleback Light and Portsmouth Harbor Light.

Boon Island Light

On September 24 we’re holding our annual Five Lighthouse Cruise, leaving at 8:30 a.m. from Rye Harbor State Marina.

This 4.5-hour cruise offers great close-up looks at White Island Light, Boon Island Light, Cape Neddick “Nubble” Light, Whaleback Light, and Portsmouth Harbor Light.

Both cruises are narrated by lighthouse author/historian Jeremy D’Entremont. There will be raffles with lots of fun prizes, and there is a snack bar aboard the boat.

We hope to see you on board!
